Ok, I was wondering if you fine people could help me out with a few suspension basics.
I really don't want to spend £600 on a coilover kit. Is my only other option a set of springs? Or what about springs and dampers?
Or what about i hav'nt a clue what i'm on about! hehe.
Help me................. Please :p

right
if you want -50mm or more it aint gonna be cheap
the cheapest i've found is FK's budget coil-overs which are still pretty good
on this link :
http://www.street-racers-shop.co.uk/rac ... ension.htm
then goto fk, then vw
the cost 400 quid but they have the ability to lower upto -75mm
failing that fixed height suspension will be cheaper, in the 200's
Spax did rob me of 600 quid, but u get wat u pay for as they say
if you wanna go as low as 50mm u will need uprated dampers aswell
fitting them is hard for the first time, but you will save alot of money if u D.I.Y it

i got quoted 380 quid from a garage to fit them, they charged 50 quid an hour labour! i said F**k off tbh, fitting them is straightforward aslong as you have two jacks, axle stand and lots of tools, just dont expect to have it done in a few hours
hope this helps
