dash electrical problems?????

the cd player doesent work anymore????
the heater panel lights flicker????
the head unit used to work, then started skipping, now doesent work at all???
could it be a problem behind the dash
its a 96 mk4 polo 1.0L carb
any ideas?

Sounds like some wires have gotten squashed/come unplugged. first things first though, check the fuses.
If they're not the route of the problem, remove the headunit and check the fuse in the back of that, and also how the wires lie.

yeah ive taken it out and checked the wires
plugged another headnit it
still nothing, dont think its a fuse as every so often the cd player will flick on 4 a few seconds

Could be a dodgy connection within the headunit then. Try squeezing it, and pushing the face a little, to see if it aids it in anyway?
If it's this, there's not alot you can do for it I'm afraid
