Whats the difference between the raceland manifold for the 8v and 16v? They both look the same! Hence would a manifold for the 8v fit the 16v??

No, completely different, the studs are in different places IIRC

Ive just bought a Raceland manifold for a 6N 16V (im guessin it fits a 6n2 aswell). I just wanted to know if there are any issues or modifications that need to be carried out to fit the manifold to the car. I know you have to add the lambda sensor to the manifold, but what else needs to be done??

Have you tried Kam Racing? Or possibly PhilJ on clubpolo?

i got a raceland one for my GTI. It had to be bent slightly to clear the gearbox if i remeber correctly. As for the lambda sensor on the manifold im just going to connect it to the lambda sensor that comes after the cat

How much did you pay to fit the manifold, and do you know if the fitting problem happens on non GTiz aswell? Also did you notice any significant power gains or better acceleration?
Cheers

not sure how much was to get it fitted as when i got it done i had a de-cat and new backbx made up at the same time.
It revs easier and does seem to pull better than before

When you had your manifold fitted did they put in a flexi pipe after the manifold...as ive had mine fitted and the guy never put in a flex pipe saying that the second pipe they give you has the same function. Is this true?

not sure tbh. i don't have a flexi pipe now either after getting my manifold fitted.
is the springy bit that came with the manifold used instead now instead of the flexi pipe perhaps?
