dub needed a wash today after being rained on at work when it was out last week, so in the snow i got to work

snow foamed with karcher and elite snow foam lance using megs hyper wash (2 pumps) filled with warm water

snow foam rocks


dried off with my nes sonus ultimate drying towel with megs last touch to aid drying

and 2 coats of collinite 915 gave this as a result


so all is lovely again

just waiting for the weather to improve to final finish the full car properly with megs g220 and menzerna polishes, also last night i ordered the car lack sealing kit, the carlack glass sealing kit and some collinite 476s super double coat, gonna give it 3 coats of this when it comes after sealing the finish

and a quick sneak preview of whats driving me mad in my room, because i just want them on the car

wheels look super hot when you going to put them on summer?

probably going to be the end of march at this rate with the shocking weather

What is Collinite Jeff?

Is it how your car looks so super shiney? . . .is it just a very good quality Turtle Wax?. . . does it keep it's shine longer?

collinite is a brand such as auto glym or turtle wax, but is far more loaded with nautral carnuba and is far longer lasting mate

I take it yours is the pearlised black paint too? I spend a good hour or two waxing mine only for it to wear off in a few weeks.

It looks amazing. It looks like you get to keep yours in a garage which must help.

Mine is kept in the street and i'm CONVINCED during the during the summer that I am directly under the flight path of an Airplane.

I could wash it and then overnight it would have giant brown mucky rain drops on it. Terrible.

P.S Yes - I think your a little bit mad because it's absolutely freezing outside.

WOW, that black comes up stunning! I did try to wash mine in the cold, however any water I threw over it just froze and I had to abandom mid wash LOL. Must try and get me one of these foam lances, they seem to work very well. Oh, and I also need some of the Collinite!

More pics needed!!! Its great having a clean car in the winter, stands out more compared to the rest! Only problem it doesnt last long!

Collinite is good stuff but i find it nightmare to get off! i.e a nice summer job where you can take your time.
I use megs cleaner wax http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/product_d ... =MEG+A1214 the now very easy to put on and off and has a nice finish but doesnt last aslong as the Collinite

just gave mine a wash and a quick top up layer of werkstat acrylic, to fend off the road salt

kenny, being a cleaner wax, it will offer very little protection too, it needs following up with a seal or wax

i find collinite a doddle, apply it with a foam applicator, leave to haze, buff it off with a damp sonus drying towel and final buff over with a dry microfibre

results - perfect every time, no ghosting or hazing left at all

iv always used 915, but am going to try the 476s for longer durability and its advertised as easier on and off too

loud - cant beat winter cleaning, as said above, clean cars in winter set the standard for others haha

Yeh I use 476s and it's amazing. Probably the best product I own. I'm running a 4 month old coat on at the minute, and it still looks great. Awaiting machine polishing before I put my next coats on

I'm about to buy some 915 off eBay and try it out.

I was wondering though I've been reading some information and people say do the standard stuff like , apply - wait until it goes hazy - then rub in and clear.

Others say when it goes hazy , spray with some water then rub it off.

Which style is right Jeff?
