Urgent help required with regards to distributor......

My car is off the road (as of yesterday) due to a knackered distributor. Has anyone got a spare lying around that will fit? Have checked the local scrappies and had a look on ebay but no joy....
My car is a Mk2 (G Reg) Polo squareback. I think it's a 1.1 (either a 1.1 or 1.0 anyway)
The only ones on ebay are Mk3 onwards (would a 1.0/1.1 off a Mk3 fit????) I have cash waiting and can make payment via Paypal. Would also need it ASAP so if you could post tomorrow it would be very much appreciated.
