Which service should the cambelt change be done at?
I thought it would be 60k but a VW servicer ( none VAG ) said unsurely that he believed it would be the 100k service.

Who has had theres done, and how many miles had it done?? Also how much should i be looking at?

cheers

If it hasn't been changed by now, get it booked in straight away.

Not 100% sure on the actual recommended time because it constantly changes. But i would change every 40k miles or 5 year, which ever comes first.

Get the tensioner changed also, this is a MUST.

As above... 40K intervals on the cambelt... Any garage who thinkgs it can wait till 100K should not be recieving your custom!!!

I just bought a cambelt kit....

2 belts
2 Idlers
2 tensioners
Random bolt

That came to £100 including VAT....

I also bought a new waterpump, alternator belt, alternator belt tensioner etc.... whilst its appart replace anything that unbolts :P

its every 40k or 3 years according to the VW service schedule. It used to be 60K but they reduced it.
