Mk5 Rear Lights on a Mk4??

Been told by a friend that the Mk5 rear lights fit onto the Mk4 polo...is this true or is my friend speaking from is a**e?
If they do fit is it a straightforward job or are we talking 3yrs at University and a doctorate in bio-electrical engineering.

Lol this is pretty much the default mod to do now on a MK4.

Nice exhaust, where's it from?
And also, do you guys htink Mk5s would look good on my storm gray Mk4? I have clear front indicators and side repeaters... but don't know if I should go for some clear rears? Thoughts?
Thing is, the gray can look quite dark, and the Mk5 lights may darken things up more... :S

They look ace on the storm grey, here is Robs (one of my favourite mk4's) with his car.
