Location of engine main relay - polo 2002

Help please - I have just had the pencil coil, CAT and 02 sensors replaced....but the car is still not going - in fact it is now completely dead! 
The mechanic said that first of all he got the code J271, but now after disconnecting everything it is now coming up with different faults! Can someone tell me where the engine main relay is located please....
