Ok then people bout time for an update on how my polos looking, after having a photochop of my car with red centres i had to do it, so thanks for the choppers :).

I've split them and had the centres painted Mazda rx8 red, which is a 3 stage pearl :). The insides of the wheels have also been done for a proper job :). I re polished the dishes using megs metal polish and every single bolt head, 36 per wheel :o

Heres the piks of how they look and fitted back to the car, I'm rele happy with them :) Some of the piks are poor as on my phone.

Also a few weeks ago i went up to exhaustsuk in sheffield for a cobra back box to be fitted for a tad louder than standard sound, went for a slash cut oval which looks just like a cupra R tail so happy with that and sounds perfect :). You can also see i painted the rear tow eye black as it was silver and stuck out like a sure thumb lol

As you can see from the outside the car now has tinted windows, i dint rele wana do this but read on for the reason why lol. Im sensing alot of you aint going to like this but its wat i wanted to do :)

I have installed a huge sound system, all my own work with help trimming from my dad.

It consists of 4 x JL Audio 12w3v2d2 subs in ported wall behind front seats
2 sets of JL Audio 6.5" vr components in custon fabricated door cards and a-pillars
2 x DLS A6 mono amps, 1 for each 2 subs
1 x JL Audio a4300 amp for comps
2 x yellow tops batterys in the rear ran off split charge system and all cabling 0 awg inc charging leads
2 x stinger volt meters backlit behind tinted plexiglas in centre console

All finished In charcoal and red alcantara, in keeping with the colurs of the interior.

Now for the Piks:

In the rear it has yet to be finished but its been put in like this to get all the system going and making adjustments etc, it will be install with a nice finished and trimmed in matching colours once i get around to it.

So thats how its stands atm, maybe not to every1s taste but all comments welcome nevertheless :), Thanks

It still handles well to be fair although when i first installed it i could feal the weight in the back as it bounces down the road lol.

With this much weight though its never gona be driven like it wud be standard, its been built in a way so its all removable when i sell or fancy a change etc.

lol... most gti owners don't know what to lose weight from and you decided to add 4 enormous subwoofers and a lot of goodies for the car :))

anyway, you did an excellent job with the mounting of the tweeters and the door panels...

Ah similar to your old install (but bigger)?

A little too much for me, but respect for the work!

How does it sound?

Did your dad do all the re-trimming?
