can i put 16s on a mark 5 polo? whats the best tyre size if i can please.

Yup with tyre size 195/40 or 195/45. Bigger than 195 then expect some rubbin on full lock.

is it true that changing to 16s from 13" steel wheels wil affect my speedo reading?

Yeah. From 14's with 185/55 I had to go to 15's with 195/45's to have no trouble. NOt sure if theres a tyre that can fit 16's which wont effect it. they would have to be very low profile though

I have 17s on my mark 5. However I admit they're far to big and I am going to be downgrading to 16s soon.

will they rub on my arches? would they if i put 195 45s on or wud i be better with 40s

45s on 16s will rub. I had them on my old RX2s then i changed to 40s and all is well
