cleaning your engine bay

i have jus purchased some auto glym engine bay cleaner.. jus wondering how to apply it. wat do i need to cover up and with what ?

does it not have application instructions on the bottle? , otherwise if its like gunk engine cleaner apply it leave for half hour and then hose it off being carfull not to direct water directly on electrics or into the air intakes

covering upwise dependant on the engine you have id say air intakes , sparkplugs , alternator , battery, throttle body . basically anything electric or a direct intake to the engine , trying to compress waters guna end badly

what to use wise ive always found tinfoil good its water proof and can be moulded around near enough anyshape.

With the autogylm stuff, I just spray it onto the area i wish to clean (and let it sit for a minute ot two), use a brush to agitate the dirt. spray it with water to dilute the dirty residue, then wipe away with a cloth. Then spray some APC on after if necessary to tidy up.
