Your coil pack.

I changed mine and it resolved the issue. GSF sell them at a cheaper price than VW and mine works perfectly

Have you checked for error codes in VAG-COM? A dodgy Cam position sensor could/might give a misfire!

more than sure its the coil pack mate, same has happened to my clio, the engine miss fires because the ignition system doesnt work as a unit. not an issue to be honest and can be brought and fitted cheaply. :D

Thanks guys

A coil pack from GSF is £60 so will get one of them and see if that works. How much you reckon a garage will charge to fit it?

Thanks

Kelly

There is a cheaper and identical one they sell.......same make etc etc for £36 as the guy found it on their system and said I could have that instead, which is what I got/paid 6 months ago.

Fitting is really easy.

Disconnect the battery and wait about 10min to discharge system, then unbolt the coil pack.

With the new coil pack near the old, transfer each lead plug to the same position (old to new).

Then bolt the new coil pack to the block where the old one was and check everything is secure.

Connect the battery and drive :D

30 to 40 min job

Sounds like a job i could do myself which is good.

I will ask them if they can find the cheaper one on their system. Hopefully

Thanks
