i believe the golf gti sharkfin is gsm not fm, so this spoils the radio clarity a bit, not too much, just a bit

is the scirocco one fm? as they all come with it, where only golfs with built in hands free came with the shark fin, leading me to believe they were for gsm

and finally, if the scirocco one is fm based, how soon can someone get hold of one for me, and how much all in, delivered to my door, im looking for a gloss black one or plain black plastic finish, either is fine

Thats the new GSM/GPS/FM aerials. They are a fully integrated unit (and are somewhat painful on the eye!)

The Golf GTI one isnt specifically a GSM aerial - there are a variety of different aerials. It really depends on whether the car is prewired for telephone connectivity, or sat nav for example.
