Not a definative answer, but I've got a 4WD Passat and I think that the rear discs are different to the 2WD cars. Why not look at a disc brake manufacturer's website like ATE or Bembro and see if the TT 2WD rear discs are the same as the TT 4WD rear discs?

Have you had a look to see what other people are fitting as an upgrade. BTW the parameters that full define a brake disc are:- 1) overall diameter 2) thickness 3) height 4) bore 5) PCD and number of wheel fixings - and maybe one other thing like "top hat diameter. Using bigger discs is okay as long as you get the correct caliper mounting brackets, remember this will always end up, in normal use, being an expensive cosmetic upgrade as the rear of these cars is so light that the original rear brakes rust up due to under use - so bigger ones will mess up even sooner I'd think. My wife's Polo's rear brakes stay clear of rust but that is due to her driving on hilly country roads - it seems that on flat roads and in town rusting rear discs is what you get this these cars.

I would have to agree with this. I've just bought a 2006 1.4 FSI Sport and although it's only got 7k on the clock, the rear discs are rusted to hell. I might have to change them .... no, I think I am defo going to have to change them. Any suggestions as to the best place? Are the Febi discs any good?
