Folks with lowered rides

Although I have a 9n Sport TDi, thought I'd post here as this forum's more active. Just wanted to get some opinons on improvements in handling and changes in ride comfort observed...

What are you using? Springs or coilovers? What brand and how much lower than standard?

I'm looking to getting mine lowered in the next couple of months and am trying to achieve better handling, without sacrificing too much ride comfort (I have to drive over a cobbled street to access the private road to my house). I'd like to have a good stance if possible...doesn't have to be slammed, but then again I don't want stance in the expense of ride comfort.

Details of what you're running and pics if possible would be appreciated.

Don't really have a lot of money to play with...don't want to go much over £300, so that's gonna restrict my choice of coilovers. Although, I'm thinking springs alone may suffice for my needs. I've heard good things about the Eibach pro kit. Anyone using H&Rs and where did you get them from?

Finally, would you say a strut brace improves handling significantly? Whilst it's being lowered, I'm also going to chage the bushes to Powerflex / Seat Cupra ones. Which bushes did you change, all of them?

Thanks,
Ash :)

i love everything about mine, i have vmaxx ones, lowered right down which is probably 40-50mm lower than standard, and it handles awsome, and isnt that bumpy on the road, still very practical, doesnt rub at all and only scrapes on big speedbumps.

I am running 30mm Eibach pro street spring at the mo and the ride comfort is good, Just got a set of Eibach coilovers to replace them.

How it sits now

I also have the Seat strut brace fitted and have the Seat console bushes and power flex wishbone bushes to fit when the coilovers go on

ive got a polo 9n 1.9 tdi sport, running on vmaxx coilies, about 60mm drop all the way round on tt comps with 205s on, rides quite bumpy, causes alot of rattle on the dash and just annoying noises, however it is nothing that a little music of music cant solve!
