hey guys, im trying to help out a friend who is needing her car for a big journey this weekend.
she has a mrk4 polo on a 54 plate.
the fuel pump is buzzing pretty loudly. it seems to have stared since the service it had last week. its only done 20k! i cant believe a fuel pump is failing at this milage. i took the seats out and disconnected the pump and the feeds etc and have removed it. does anyone know the best place to get a new pump? my local motor factors have said to go to vw but i bet it will be over a 100quid. any ideas? is it too young a car to have cheaper replacement parts available? anyone else had any jip from theirs?
can anyone tell me if the pump is integral to the whole unit or can be purchased seperatly. it looks like i could get into the pump if i had too. is it the same as any seats or audi's?
its the 1.2 engine.

many thanks,
ally :D
