Strange Steering Noises

Hello fellow members,
Have a bit of a issue here with my 2004 1.2 POLO.
While I am stationary and rotate my steering wheel I hear a creaking noise during. Its starting to annoy me alot.
I am not sure if its the steering column that about to go faulty???? or else its the CV's.
Any Idea as what could be the problem.

Well, first thing is, when the car is stationary do not turn the steering wheel as it puts a lot of strain on all the connected components. Having said that (in an attempt to stop you trying to destroy bits!), the creaking could be anything from the top mount bearings to TCA bushes to broken road springs.

Well the car just passed its MOT so I dont think it would be the TCA, springs.....etc...
I know its not advisable to rotate your steering wheel when stationary as it is basic of drivings and best is to steering the wheels as the car is in motion....
but sometimes when you are parked in tight spaces or have less space to maneuver you cant really do much!!!!!
Also when I am reversing out of my driveway with my wheels fully locked I can hear this creaking noise.

Well, the TCA rear bushes would need to be totally f'd before the MOT would fail them, also the broken spring might just have avoided the MOT tester's gaze if it did not present a hazard.
Please remember that an MOT is centered around road safety or fit for use, not nice and quite etc, and is only a relevant statement about the condition of that car on the day!

Am not sure if you mean coil spring......but if yes than the car is lowered on eibach pro springs and even if they were broken I am sure the car would have been undrivable and steerable!
and MOT centers in Northern Ireland are strict as hell !!!
TCA rear bushes were changed last year and I cant hear any noise that could relate to its fault.....
Also the noise is quite noticable when reversing
Anyways I might just take it to a garage and get it checked......
