got some new top mounts and top mount bearing trouble is with the aluminium top on the coilovers there is not enough thread on the top of the strut to put the nut on. taking off the aluminium top off and the tops mount etc fit but the spring doesnt seem to sit right.
with alumininum cone - http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss86 ... 009280.jpg
without - http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss86 ... 009281.jpg
i can get he aluminium cone machined so it fit around the shaft of the strut but not not sure if that is the ideal way forward. or am i just being thick and missed something obvious.
any help, comments, suggestion would be great as i need to get this done by saturday!!
cheers,
si
