does n e one know if theres signs that the coilovers are damaged? also can u get them stripped down and rebuilt? is it a easy diy job or would it have to be a professional job?
same with the top mounts? how would u know if u need to change them?
i keep thinking im getting a strange nockign noise every now and then, not sure wat it is but have a hunch it might be the coilovers or top mounts. thats y im asking...............
i need to get my camber done again but am thinking about lowering it a bit more first befor i do it. not sure if this would have n e thing to do with it?

Get the stance sorted before getting the camber re-adjusted, it'll be pointless otherwise.
What type of knocking is it? My coilovers knock time to time, never bothered me. It's constantly and consistant knocks and squelches you want to be worried about. Also if one side is compressing alot more than another.

its not a knock always happening just sometimes. i did think about getting the height how i want it first then getting the camber done.
its more when i come of my drive and where i turn my wheel to full lock and roll of the slight kerb it has it slightly jumps to the side but thought it might just be where the wheel is coming of the kerb.

That sounds completely normal to me. Could put it down to anything, driveshaft knocking something, spring turning, the spring bouncing on the helper, the coilover simply compressing etc etc.
If your worried though, get it up on stilts and check everything is tight and secure.
I don't want to tell you everything is fien with your car when it may well be not, I'm just saying theses things do make the odd noise which I've never really worried about.

i did think that about it being nothing but al the kind that worries about the car alot after all the stuff that keeps going wrong with it.
i wanna see about getting it up on rampssometime and checking it.just a question of when i get time.
can u rebuild coilovers or would it be a specialist job?

There's nothing to rebuild really on basic coilovers. The top mounts are seperate, if the springs are knackered they just get replaced, and if it's compressing too much they can get regassed.

they're made out of rubber, so if they look worn, or the bearings are knackered.

I would imagine so. If I had problems with the suspension being abnormally loud (taking into account that coilovers do make they're own noises), alot of banging perhaps, I would check out the top mounts.
