It doesnt pull like it use to, is this related to the gearbox and the clutch :?: My clutch seems really hard
Cheers

Having a hole in your cold air feed can cause you to loose power. That certainly happened to me in the past and my acceleration was sluggish. Soon as I fixed it it was much better.

Doubt it would be the clutch or gearbox

Depends on what exactly the power loss feels like...

I would put money on it being an electrical fault...

Get VAG-COM on the car check for faults.... pull out all the plugs and check they are the right colour....

Giving the throttle body a clean will also make a difference. But it's a bit more of a subtle loss.

This happened once again today, it feels really sluggish and slow, and it feels like its not revving in second or third gear between 2k to 3k rpm! when its accelerating it kind of gerks like your not putting you foot down on the gas pedal at all.I think i have to put it through vag com for defo!
Has anyone experienced this recently :?

cheers

Sounds like a miscalculation...

I would put money on it being an engine sensor... TPS or CPS would be a good place to start... but VAG should help!

I know it seems to be the answer for every acceleration problem on here, but I'd definitely try cleaning the throttle body first before paying for vagcom tests etc.. It'll cost you the price of a can of carb cleaner from halfords.

Guys the acceleration has gone much much better and it revs alot more easy. This happened after i fitted the bmc induction kit replacing the crap pipercross foam kit. The pipercross filter was breathing alot of hot air into the engine. Just amazed how it improved, if your looking to upgrade just get a bmc those who havent!! 8)

cheers

Hot air is the killer. Keep an eye on your cold air feed regularly for any holes
