Clutch pedal travel.

We found the clutch pedal had more length of stroke than we would have liked, and the biting point was too far from the floor.
Following the instructions for adjusting the cable you would end up with the biting point even higher.
Remedy...
Slacken the cable rather than tighten it until you have the desired distance between the floor and the biting point.
Then fit an adjusting bolt on the clutch pedal and adjust to shorten the stroke.
