got 2 problems.
first one is when i turn the radio on the amp makes a kinda thud noise when i first turn it on and also when i switch from radio to cd.
second is when the music is on the radio bakes a kinda buzzing noise that follows the pitch of the engine. if i got my music to quiet i can hear it but if its loud enough i cant. dont really bother me but would like to sort it.
other thing is how have people hiden the cables from the amp to the head unit?

First one is just your subs turning on. I think most amps cause that? (Mine does the same)
Second noise is what what they call alternator whine. Usually when you run your speaker and power cables up the same side of the car it causes interference. You can buy things to fix this though

i got the power cable running down the centre and the rest of the wires down the passenger side.

You need an alternator suppressor. Get them from halfords for around £3. Easy to fit. Will show you were they go.

so as promised, here's where i put my suppressor

the orange circle is the suppressor just hooked under a nut on the alternator to earth it, and the red circle is the live feed i had to use more cable as what i got was to short.
i also earthed my head unit too, as i was to believe that this could have something to do with it as well. i used to have it going straight to the battery but then read its not a good idea to have a long earth cable, as the more cable there is the further the current has to travel.
this is where i bolted the earth wire to, the hole is already there just behind the passager airbag/glovebox

so thats what i done, i still have a noise but you can only hear it when the volume is turned to zero, buts its quite faint, it doesnt bother me.
anyways heres a few sites that should help anyone else with the same problem
