Well Just bought one too, i have no idea, but on mine the crappy plastic ring at the front basically is not attached very well. And can be pulled of too easily. So i really wanted to get one. Plus its got the red stitching!!! OOOHHH REDDDD

:D:D
Dont know if this post helps.I have to get my clutch pressure plate replaced so will get the garage to do it at the same time! Dont quite trust myself and important parts of car, especially brake stuff!

To fit the handbrake it's much much simpler than that. Alll your doing it replacing the sleeve, not any mechanics so to speak at all.
When you've recieved your new handbrake sleeve, turn it upside and notice a tab on the underside, this is all that holds the sleeve on.
You simply get a stubby flat head screwdriver and gently force the tab on the old sleeve downwards, then slide it straight off.
The new one will just slide back over and click in place.
Takes two minutes

Yeh you need a stubby one. helps by pulling the handbrake up as far as you can.

Hi , just to say got my handbrake cover off, and the new one wnet on this morning. Did not have a stubby screwdriver, Bugger,
But managed somehow. Cant quite get the new one's tabe to sit completely flush. Just wont go anymore!!!!
But looks ace!
Now all i need is the glossy pillars, @ £18 each bargain. Vw orignally quote me £47 each, wtf?
And get the rear valance sprayed and we should be onto a winner. OH and some pics!
