My Gti, seems to not want to start if i have driven it and then get out for a short time and when i get back in to start her she just wont start... it really seems like its the immobilisier, but its strange that most of the time it starts with no bother and its only when ive left it for short periods of time :-s
Anyone else had a similar problem? Or any remedies?

GSF or Euro car parts do them, or you can go for the gen option. They are about 10 quid thereabouts, a little more if genuine, but they are all the same

Thats not one I have heard before...
When I went into GSF they looked it up on the computer and right away knew it was the little green thing with the four pin connector bla bla...... They need to look again if they think there is more than one
If you car is still messing you about... you can actually unplug the temp sender... the ECU will insert a "safe" average value into the fueling calculations and the car should run reasonably well without it plugged in! Better that than have the ECU think its 50 degrees C or something silly!

I ordered one from Euro Car Parts as it had a photo of the item so i knew it was the right one. GSF only had descriptions that really didnt match the item. Shame GSF seem loads cheaper lol

Ok so its came today....Ordered it from Eurocarparts and its clearly a used item...i could have had a new one from the dealers for £5 more (i only ordered it from ECP because the closest dealer is 30 mile away)
Anyone dealt with Euro Car Parts before and had similar problem?

never use websites for the likes of ecp, gsf and car parts alike. small details that get mixed up on the sites can waste so much time. always ring them. gsf will sort you out, all you'll need is your reg number. they'll deliver too.
