help me identify a part

guys i was changing a coil on my girlfriends 1.2 2002 polo (azq) and i disconnected a wire just above the right side coil, put it all back together and its firing perfect. but now im getting a engine light even though its running better. is then had the engine running and i had disconnected that wire again with it running and it makes no impact on the engine.... what is it i disconnected?

Sorry but what you've written above is
not very clear as to what you did or have done!
But again if you have changed the correct coilpack then you dont need to do anything as the Yellow warning light will go on its own.
It sounds to me that there might be something else wrong with the car, your only option is to plug a
VAG(VW Audi Group) COM /diagnostics to check for the exact description of the fault. Or else you could take the car to your local dealers but i am afraid a charge would be involved.

As said, if the problem (faulty coil) has been resolved then the warning light will go out after 6 or 7 engine starts - unless there is still a problem. A cheaper option to check for ENGINE and ABS and SRS and AUTO TRANS problems is the Gendan VW Audi Seat Skoda code reader costing less than £40 delivered - I bought one of them just to carry in the glove box although I do have VAG-COM or at least the newer VCDS for really serious problems.
