Hey everyone,

I got my car checked out using a VAGcom to find out why its engine warning light was on.

I got told it was an o2 ( oxygen ) sensor after the CAT pipe and a heater control sensor.

Any way I will list exactly what the guy wrote down for me and if any one can shed some more light on the situation, so i can be sure i get the correct parts to fix it, that would be super smashing and a great help!!!

Engine code P1118 - HO25 Heater Control Circuit
(Bank 1 Sensor 2) open.

Engine Code P0140 - O2 Sensor circuit
(Bank 1 Sensor 2) no activity detected.

Its all gobbledee goop to me, so if anyone can help, please do!!!

The fact that the errors are related to "open" signals would suggest to me that the O2 sensor is not actually plugged in properly!!

Get under the car, take off the engine tray and check every connection between the O2 sensor and the ECU! You could carefully unplug all of the plugs one at a time, check for corrosion and then put them back together again,.....

Its possible the cable is worn out etc...
