Went to get a sandwich, 5 mins later come back to find my polo clamped :'( and £320 to take it off, £150 for the clamp and £170 to cancel the tow truck that had been called to take my car away. robbing w*ankers!

bcs there is ways to jus take em off but if you ge caught you get done even more lol

Were you parked in an area that permitted them to do so though?

I'm not sure on the type of clamp, an old triangular rusty one :S. Tim i parked next to the sign with the details on what would happen if i parked there, silly i know, but i was gone for literally 2 mins. I found out they park by it all day waiting for idiots like me, give them 30 seconds and ur clamped :@

Depends what type of clamp it is, but that can be the case

lol, when i was at school in six form, with my old mk4 i use to park in teachers car park had them threaten to clamp it but as it was 120mm on 13s they couldnt get the clamp on without damaging the car so didnt haha shame, suppose lowering is a bonus for that !

if thats the case im slamming mine on its arse... i just came into quite a bit of money today and am looking for coil overs as i speak... well type lol

but they can call out for a jib to come pick the car up and load it onto the back of a flat bed

If they do then drive the car away, as its still ur property untill its left the ground.

They cant really do much. I rember couple of weeks ago i was going to get a parking ticket for parking on double yellows. The two guyz were entering in the details to the machine thing when i just came in time. I said hi to them and then drove the car off, and they did nothing but watch!
