I'm looking at getting a double DIN head unit for my polo GTI...Do the fit in flush in the original place and is there much room behind them for the additional wires? If anyone has got an aftermarket one, particularly a DVD one, some advice would be good

Also, does anyone have any links to facia adapters, this is all i can find and i thought £40 was a bit steep, plus it's universal and i want a perfect fit :\

ive got an alpine double din dvd screen, i never needed an adaptor kit, mine fitted straight in. there is a fair bit on room just need to tuck the wires right down the back !

This is the same head unit ive got installed in a polo gti, just a picture ive found on google!

In that picture, the plastic going around the screen, did that come with the HU?
