hi,

i have a 1.4 6n2 and i have a dilema and am looking for opinions, i want some coileys as at the min with how my cars sits i could wave to people on the top deck of a double decker bus, and theres no worry of running any one over as i could probably drive over shaquille o'niels head with its current height anyways back to the subject, here comes the massive j-lo sized BUT... i want the rear to drop further than 90mm and all the ones i have found so far have a 90mm rear drop as max whilst the fronts all have a max of 120mm

has anyone got pics of a 90mm drop so i can compare ???

preferably i would like the rear to have a max of 120mm aswell just so i can slam it to the ground.

but any suggestions and comments are welcome... all with the exception of that porn spammer weve all noticed lol.

they normally go to around 120mm anyway mate, plus another 25mm if you take the helper spring out :D

i found a couple of hot tuning and ta technix ones on ebay asked the sellers if it was 120mm all round just out of curiosity and both came back to me with the same answer, that the front will drop 120mm but the rear coileys will only drop 90mm, and because of the stupidly high suspension the 6n2 has as standard i was thinking that wont be enough on the rear... so bepe if you can give me the name of the ones that go all 120mm on both front and rear il be a very happy bloke :)... as long as there not like a grand lol... is your lowered ? and if so by how much ?

To be honest mate. With 6N2s you won't have a problem with reaching the lowest setttings and wanting to go lower. the kits are pretty good. I own a TA Technix kit also, you won't be disapointed with the drop.

hmmmm i know understand that to beat the 90mm max you have to take the helper springs out surely there are some risks with this cause if they wernt neded then they wouldnt be there... what are the risks of taking them out... ?

cheers guys appreciate your help

no, coilovers go to 120mm with the helper springs still in, they add another 20mm ontop so would push it to around 140mm, bascailly there to keep the spring under tension when there jacked up, or the car goes over a lift in the road, doesnt affect that to much, but its an MOT failure if there not in ;) but there not to hard to put in for MOT time

oh and i forgot to add, when a coilover kit states that it lowers say 50-90mm that would be the TUV approved height before it isnt approved
