hi guys im having alot of trouble with my coilover suspension.
i can hear a loud clicking noise when you turn the wheels full lock left or right. i took it to a garage and they have told me the springs are twisting and turning and thats whats causing the noise, they showed me this aswell and it looks like the springs are twisting and turning in jolts causing the nois., its really loud when going over little bumps and sounds horrible!

could this be caused due to not being seated properly in the top mount etc or somthing not being put on properly?

or could it be down to the wrong front springs being fitted?

Image

that is what came in the box and i have the coilovers fitted that were made up already, with the larger springs left in the box.
should the larger springs go on the front instead?

also the cv joint has been checked and it is not that =]

please help as im stumped! they are ta technix coilovers.

The larger springs are apparently only for the 6N (as said by PhilJ).

If the springs aren't seated properly you should be able to see that from looking at them. Coilovers generally do make a fair bit more noise than standard suspension.

cheers tim, should the springs be able to twist and turn by hand?
because thats what these are doing, and the clicking noise is most certainly not normal =[

there should be too much tension to twist them by hand. how low are you?
