Guys,

Finally got the Polo !

Well impressed with the build and ride (not that I'd expect anything else from a crout mobile ;) )

Should be getting the TDi boost box in a few days, I'll let you know what (if any) difference it makes.

Right... off for a 300 mile trip to Sailsbury

I love it !

For the size, the engine has a good amount of pull. Between 2,000 & 3,000rpm there is a nice growl and plenty of torque.

First and second gears will loose out to a petrol (not enough revs), but once in 3rd & 4th it really flie. On the motorway it pulls all the way to 85mph with out much hassle, then on it's needs a little more encouragement.

I think the boot spoiler finishes the car off nicely.

Only thing is... there was only one key with the car. Anyone know how much a new one from the stealer is ? Key with built in remote.

Ben, don't take offence, but I'll wager it'll be quicker than yours.

The 1.4 PD TDI engine is a good little motor and Pettsy suprised me after our Rolling Road day (ok, so I was down on power that day, but still...)

Very Torquy, so in-gear acceleration will be great.

P.... Get it Revo'd mate... You'll love it!

www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk (click on Revo)

www.revotechnik.com

Basically it's "chipping" without the chip.

All they do it upload the new code to your ECU (Engine Computer) using a laptop.

Actually, I don't know whether it's available for your car yet...

They do a code for the PD100 Polo (which takes it up to a staggering 151bhp!! and 277.4 lbft!!)

They look like they know what they're doing... and charge accordingly !

I'll try out the "plug-n-play" box I've bought from a guy in Germany that basically gets rid of the EU limitations and put more fuel in... see how I get on with that and then maybe at a later date (when I can save a bit of cash!) I'll look at proper chipping.

Turning a 100bhp into a 151bhp is pretty bloody kewl.

 he he...and all the grief i got for it "choking everyone" on the rolling road

Obviously the Gti will be faster as standard, but im sure a Revo'd/Chipped tdi could give a standard gti a run for its money!

Oh, forgot to mention...

329 miles showing on the trip meter...... and the fuel gauge is showing half a tank ! ! !

This and it's the first tank of fuel... so not driving like Miss Daisey

that plug and play thing from Germany may do more harm than good - get some Rolling Road/Dyno printouts from previous installations that they've done. You may gain 10hp in one part of the rev range but lose 10hp in another.

go to www.diesel-inside.com and speak to SEAT_TDi - the guys knows pretty much everything about VAG Diesels and is currently running an Arosa TDI (same engine as yours iirc) which is at about 140hp at the moment (and was embarrasing Lupo GTis at Santa Pod 1/4 mile)
