Hey all,
i'm looking at changing my head unit in my new Polo, but the factory fit one will be coded I guess, so was wondering is there a way to find out what it is without going down to VW and having to pay to get it, just for when I put it back in or sell it (Gamma Tape with 6CD changer)

If you put it back in the car will remember it so you wont need a code for that

If your going to sell it then your going to need to go to vw

Fair call, just looking at putting a single DIN head unit in, so I can have some amps, swap some speakers etc,

Being an ex mechanic i'm a bit curious on how the car remembers the radio (if anyone knows)
