Hi there. Recently changed my suspension to coilovers, now when Im turning either side it makes a weird cracking noise, Im sure it come from the springs but im not sure how to get rid off it., has anyone experience anything like this before. is so, what have you done... ohh and are there any oil you put in the suspension to make it smoother.

Cheers!!!

how low have you gone with the coilovers? is it when u put it on full lock? i have mine lowered 60mm, and when i turn (u turn) i car creaks...its just the chassis tilting to compensate for the turn nothing to worry about! as for oil to go in the suspension to make it smoother... you dont need it. the idea of a better suspension is so you can corner tighter as yur car will have a lower centre of gravity.. if u push down the front of the car u shudnt be able to make the car bounce.. thats a good thing! it could be your strut top mounts moving, would be easy to tell if its that you could just get someone to turn the wheels and u look at the strut top mounts and see if they move

Thanks Guys.... Since the noise was getting a bit laud and annoying I decided to take them off to see what was going on. As I thought it would be the either the bearings or the top mounts I bought a pair of each before taking them off. When taking them off all the little bearings came out flying. :? I put the new bearings inside and "ta da" the noise stopped. :D the suspension now feels soft and doesn’t make any noise, ohh I must mention that I greased all of the parts before mounting them. (Y) Its all good now. I don’t really know how low I am, BTW how do I measure it  Im kindda new to the wonderful world of Coilovers!!! :)

i suppose the only way you can measure how low you've gone is measure a polo which hasnt been lowered from the side skirt to the floor, and then do it to your car... i forgot to check before i lowered mine, so jus walked up to a 6n parked up which was standard and used a trusty tape measure lol...proberly looked odd but arh well:P
