Stalling At Junctions / 1996 1.4 6N...

My car seems to have no fast idle from cold, stalls at junctions and hunts between 600-1000Rpm when staionary. I have tried a new coolant temperature sensor but this has made no difference, can anyone shed some light on this? Cheers Ash.
