Is there anybody on here owns a 6N GTI?
i dont think ive ever actually seen one, how rare are they?
is it just the 1.6 16V, with few little changes to the trim?

to be honest i prefer the looks of the 6N!

Ive got a GTi engine and complete dash in my 6n? does that make it a 6n GTi?

Polo 6n GTI's wasn't available to the UK market, which is why you'd never see a original 6n GTI on our shores.

what would be involved in making a regular polo look like a gti? and how expensive/difficult would it be.

If you want it to look like the picture you uploaded then just put 16v bumpers on it. No difference in the body between the 16v and 6n GTI

sadly only available on german shore's! heres a few pics sort of a mash up between the 6n and 6n2 (6n exterior and 6n2 interior)

You would need the following to make a 1.4 8v into a 6n German spec GTI:

Mk5 GTI Engine (& possibly gearbox, i'm not 100% sure it would work)
16v Bumpers with foglights in front grill
16v Rear lights
Smoked side indicators
Clear frosted front indicators
GTi front and rear badges
BBS RXii Alloy Wheels
Mk5 GTi interior seats (minor differences to 6N GTI, better bolster support)
Mk3 Golf Colour Concept Steering wheel in Red (leather grip with red stitching, use original 6n airbag for OEM Look)
Imported 6n GTI gear stick (Use Mk5 for close OEM look, feels better anyway)
Mk3 Golf VR6 black leather handbrake
Mk5 Mats (red piping)
Retrimmed 6n 16v doorcards with red suade/optional leather inserts

I wanted to do it, but it would cost soooo much I could just get a much more refined Mk5 GTI
