drivers side window.

hi all,
i have a problem with my driver side window, it goes down fine but when you go to put up it, it goes half way stops and then goes back down any suggestion's in what it could be?
i've been told its the motor or the regulator.

That sounds like the motor needs a good oiling - best thing to do it have it all out, grease up all the runners and the gears in the motor and you should see a vast improvement.

Mine did this until one day i shut the door whilst i was opening the window and the regulator clips snapped an the window fell into the door.
You can fix the regulators yourself with simple knowledge and hardly any tools. i reckon the fix i have done to mine is better than how they come brand new.
I havent had any problems since.

I took the regulator out of the door, picked up the broken clips from the bottom of the door. lol
Positioned the clips back in the right place and then used a screw and washer to hold the clips back in place.
works a treat and save having to buy a new regulator.
Mine has lasted about 8 months since i "fixed" it and the window gets used numerous times each day
