gearbox gti 6n2 help

hi i bought a 6n2 gti about 3 weeks ago great car but the gearbox whines while accelerating, the chap told me its the diff bearring, but the cars only done 36,000. should i get the work done or wait? thanks

Yes, get it all stripped down, overhauled, bearings replaced and put back together ASAP. Basically a full recondition.

mines gone today on 67000. How much is it to recondition it?

Depends where you take it. Expect to pay between £450-800.

Just had it done payed 250 for the box refurbing. but the bloke doesnt take them out so got it took out for 100 as well as them putting a new clutch which was 120.
so altoghter 470
