Planning on lowering my Polo (Finally). Decided on a suppension kit. Not going to go too low as still want a comfortable ride and need to fill the car sometimes. So thats coilovers out the occasion (as not spending £800 on a set). And lowering springs aren't worth it as 30/40mm is nothing. I'm looking around 60/70mm.

What do people think and any pics of cars lowered to that height?

Any one with a wedge look? Dont think it would suit my car. So far have only found a 60mm front and rear set, Supersport Sprint Suspension Kits. Any reviews or experience. Not minding the price but didnt want to buy too cheap unless reliable.

Also seen a FK powertech set but there 75mm/60mm but i'd rather same all round and there at the end of my budget. Anyone else gone for the wedge look.

Any other recomendations would be great and any height ideas. Want low but comfy and still drivable fully loaded.

Also once lowered is there anything else that needs adjusting / altering, other than tracking.

my TA TECHNIX coileys were only £250 and they ride smoth as you can expect for that money, and they go 100mm + and are adjustable,

is this not more of a suitable option ?

the same coileys were only £160 at edition38... actually i think i have the guys card selling em for that price new in my car... want me to get the number ?

all i changed was the camber of my wheels and then had my tracking redone

i can also say that the ta technix coilovers from phill j on clubpolo are very good value for money.
i do however find the ride a little harsh at times but for just shy of £220 i think they were well worth it.
again be sure to get tracking and camber done after! - protyre is where i would reccomend to get this done if ones near you

Thanks for that mate. I'm not really ever gonna go lower than 70 so to give that little bit more of comfort i'm going with a kit rather than collies. Cheers any way mate.

Going for comfort rather than height, hence half the drop. Dont think i'll find many opinions on kits and everyone on here has collies I think. Got quite a few garages around me so should find one that can do both. Whats a usual cost, around £40?

make sure tracking and camber is done once u changed the suspension.

Well i've ordered the 60mm drop suspension kit. Just wait and see how it looks and rides.

How much is a resonable price for camber and wheel alignment. As so far I can only find one place localy that do it and they want £110 + vat.

Is that good for full alignment etc?

Found one other company charging around £80. So guess its about right.

camber and wheel alignment should be way less than £70 - £80 is very expensive for it mate!

Yep expensive still, paid £38 for full tracking, camber and allignment adjustment on laser machine

Can only find two companies locally that do it. http://www.bmsport.com & www.dmsracingltd.co.uk

All the others would do alignment for a round £25-£35 but cant do everything else thats req after lowering.
