Right it has come to a time where i need to sell my car
has i need some funds for my G40
It is a 1.6 1997 dragon green polo
I have owned the car for 12 months now and it has done 91k
Just recently had a oil service and is due M.O.T, Tax and another service but this will be sorted out by the end of this month.
Has a full service history, 11 service stamps and 8 have been done by VW.
Have the original receipt for deleivery inspection too
I have changed the oil every 5k miles.
Just over 2 months ago had a new bumper put on and sprayed and cost £230.
Had new wishbones put on in May
I have new drums, brake shoes and the fitting kit all here brand new but havent had the time to fit them. So they will come with the car.
Bodywork is in good shape. Very few paint chips on bonnet from stones. The only bad points i would say about the body is that the rear arches have started to rust, bit of paint came off when i removed the bump strips and there is a little rust patch on the bottom of the door but the rest of the car is good and rust free.
Very good runner.
I would say i drive the car well and dont tear round all the time. I try to change gear around the 3k rev's.
I get on an average 350 miles to a full tank of fuel.
I use v power everynow and then just to clear the fuel system as this helps and i also use once a month that petrol cleaner, redex.
Had a new reconditioned gear box put on december last year.
Still have receipt for 2 year warranty or 24,000 miles from when the car was on 78,000.
Had a new clutch put on at the same time and together it cost £485
I have done a little work to the car but this is what i have done:
I have put coilovers on and its lowered around 60mm-70mm i would guess, but it doesnt hit speed bumps unless you have a full car load
4-2-1- stainless steel manifold and de cat pipe.
K&N induction kit with a 70mm air feed
Splitfire dual core HT leads
Splitfire Triple platinum spark plugs
Black diamond grooved disc's
Green stuff pads
Angel/halo headlights
Smoked rear lights
15" BBS RX 2 alloy wheels with toyo t1r 195/45 (not much tread left) i also have been told by vw that one of them is slightly buckled but they dont cost that much to get hold of, around £80 for a new one.
10mm wheel spacers on front
Bump strips removed
De-badged grille
New headlight grille put on last month
Calipers are painted black
German plates
Mudflaps removed
Inside/Ice
Havent changed any interior and it is in such a good condition.
Would say it looks new.
Only thing i changed was pedals to the Golf R32 ones and changed the gear knob to a black richbrook one. Looks smart.
Have got an Alpine head unit that cost £200
Got a Stealth shelf in the rear, that cost me £70
Fli speakers (Integrator 3) in the dash board £30
Fli speakers (integraor 6) in the doors £40
Vibe Slick 69 3 6x9's in the shelf £60
Running them on an alpine amp
Also got a vibe cbr 1300 bass sub in boot, £200
I have wired it all in myself and done it properly through the car. The boot could do with a bit tidying up but it is good how it is.
Got a fast plug for the sub which is soo handy.
The sound sytem i have installed is awesome. Its not too bassy altough it is changeable very easy and sounds perfect.
Have got receipts for lots of things and have the warranty receipt on hand too.
I would guess i have spent around £1200-£1500 on parts/bits n bobs and all of the above
Would like £1300ono (sensible ones)
Will be a shame to see this go but it really is an awesome car. Handles like a go kart round corners.
Some pics, will get more of interior, engine bay and the rust i mentioned:

Any questions please PM me. Cheers.
