Warm start problem... (16v owners)

I have had a variety of problems with
the 16v since owning it, which include
warm start problems and cutting out at idling.

after reading this topic on porka.net:
http://www.porka.net/modules.php?name=X ... 682&page=3

I tried a number of suggestions which included
cleaning the throttle body and replacing the temp
sensor on the thermostat housing.

This seemed to have partly cured the problem,
but after having the ignition coil replaced recently
the problem has returned.

Have any of you had this problem and cured it successfully?

The car also uses lots of fuel and smells at startup,
one of my friends suggested the lambda probe or cat
which could also control the amount of fueling.

If anyone has any comments please post them up.

Thanks :)

try using carb cleaner, spray it into the throttle body when the car is running, you will need to give it a little throttle when you spray it in
