Polo Gti 6n2 speaker depth

Know the speakers are 17cm but what depth can you get away with before hitting the window or something?

I can't remember the exact depth of them. My speakers are 59mm deep, and they're fine (not deep speakers by any means either) you could probably get away with another 10-20mm? but that's just estimating.
