This happend ealry to night as try to go little bit to fast around a roundabout and then the tyre comes off and i am goin side ways on the roundabout pooing my pants

o and the tyre is sitting normal on the bak of the rim just show how small the tyres are for the rims

what profile are you running on those tyres Rhys?

i cant help try and keep up wit the "bigger boys"

To cause that the Tyre must of be under inflated as its near impossible to get a stretch tyre to come off of the rim

ye the tyre must of bin realy flat becoz i give it loads of stick around corners and it hasent gone befor but i could of hit a pot hole coz with stretched tyre they tend 2 lose psi quick of u hit bumps hard pal that must caused it 2 pop off just talking about it on club polo gone into a masive debate!

its not caused by hitting pot holes or bumps, its from when you go round the corner, your sidewall flexes, when this happens you loose abit of air, but only abit. but overtime this will get worse and worse. best to check them every 3 weeks or so really.

ive never had problems with my stretch tyres, iam on a 7j with 165/50/15 and i hammer the s**t out of them. you could run 165/50/15's on an 8j rim and have no problems, all you need to do is maintain your car! check your pressures

I check my pressure more often than that. Every week I'd say.

I'd love to have the guts to put 165/50s on my 8s, but couldn't do it. The stretch is ridiculous. It would solve all the mild scrubbing I get with my Monos though

ye i was checking them all the time keep pumping them up last time i did them was just over a week ago

and i hammered the crap out of them the other week and they gave me no no problem

jsut they go flat so quick goin 2 start checking them every day now.

unlucky this happend to me but thats because the pressure was a bit to low. just a religious thing now making sure there pumped up.

sorry to hijack but saw this thread and thought i may as well.
are the pressures the same when running a stretch? like 2.2 or something?
just got some on 165/50's on 7's and the above has freaked me out a lil bit

nah u aint hijacking

umm i run 34 psi in mine u need 2 put more in because they will flex more and need 2 have a alot of pressure in them to keep the stretch strong.

my tyre popped coz i had low pressure in the tyre mate if u keep and eye on the pressure then you should be fine mate
