Does anyone have any feedback on the Superpro engine mount, as an alternative to the more expensive APR mount ?
it comes in two version
- SPF2907-70K - Fast Road Use (softer version) - which they say it can be used even on diesel engines
- SPF2907-80K - Competition Use (harder version)

I've finally installed this.
I can say that is a great mod. The gear change is now a lot better.
It seems that there are no more problems when shifting from 1-2 and 2-3 even at ~6500rpm.

To be honest they look exactly the same, probably made by the same supplier but APR bag it and tag as there own and charge a premium because of the their strong brand image.
I got the APR one a couple of years ago before the superpro one turned up on the scene and it defo improves gear changing and minimises engine movement, but sure they are exactly the same.

how easy are they to fit?
is it just a case of dropping the mount, swapping the bush and re-installing?

yes - you only need to remove the mount and replace the bush. I wasn't there when the mechanic replaced it, so I don't know how long it took him, but it shouldn't take much.

I'm very happy with it. Never had problems again with 1-2 gear change, not even at high revs.
The only thing that hasn't been cured by this, is that sometimes it still doesn't want to get into 3rd gear - but that might have other causes

.

I didn't want to go for the competition one because I've heard even the fast road one causes a fair bit more vibration...
I'm also getting a non-res Milltek turbo back fitted tomorrow along with the bush, I just had to buy one after the thread lol!

I'll let you know how much vibrations in the cabin increase by lol. Hopefully not too much. Is the main benefit of these better gear changes? I just ordered one because people were raving about them and it was only like £35 lol No idea why they are good though
I hope the exhaust won't be too loud!
