Does anyone know how to remove a rear gti spoiler from a polo 6n? There is one down at the scrap yard and I just can't get it off! Any help? :)

not 100% sure but i thinks its just glue adhesive thts holding it on, like the rub strips on the door. does it have a 3rd brake light on it?
if so youll have to disconnect it from inside the boot, near the hinge bit aswell :)

hmm, bootlid would be easiest but then painting it all is more hassle, unless u dont mind?

but yea if you put hot water over it, itll soften the rubber sticky stuff up a bit and just pull at it slowly, it should give in eventually, but as said as it has the 3rd brake light, disconnect any wires involved

and lastly, good luck mate

Haha I will have to take a flask of hot water down there and just keep trying! After I have painted it etc how will I stick it on mine and hook up the brake light? Mine doesn't have a third brake light :S Thanks again! :D

i thought i heard its held in with bolts from the inside of the boot as well? if so should be able to see them when the boot is open. might be wrong tho.

i have a 6n3 gti boot fits, the fitments are the same, it sticks out by the taillights slightly but not much, the painting isnt the hassle its the wiring up which is, i cant get my window heater to work now, also make sure you get the key for the boot as trhe lock is a pain in the arse unless you get a boot pop kit which might be easier and link that to a button where the hazards are and the jobs a good'un. :) any more info you need just let me know.
