Forge Short Shift for 5speed

Did anybody installed this on their Polo GTI ?

I think it's a new product, as I haven't noticed it before when I was searching for such thing on forge's website.

I didn't know about this either!!!
May consider getting tho depending on price, as the B&M that i fitted to my MK5 Polo GTi was probably the second best mod i did!!!!

But I'm still waiting for an answer from Forge if it fits or not on Polo GTI... As some guys from VWwatercooled assume that it may not fit...
so I'm confused...

I've just sent them the part number of the part that it is replaced by their part. So they could check if it is compatible... Now we wait...

Here's the answer I've received:
"‘the counterweight is in a different location to the normal 5 speed shifter (1J0711051D) but the rod coupling and mounting nut are in the same orientation, as is the quadrant for the side to side shifter. It may just fit, but i can’t guarantee it’"
note: the part number that I've sent them is 6q0 711 046 R.
So my conclusion is that we wont know for sure until someone tries it

Any further knowledge on this? Does anyone sucessfully run a short shifter? I've bought a ecs clutch n am gonna get a short shifter aswell
