hi does anyone know why the dash lights, stero light etc. will go off randomly then come on by themselves. if you tap the little control on the right of the steering wheel that adjusts headlights and brightness of dash lights they come back on again.

when this happens the headlights are unaffected - they stay on fine.

sounds like a faulty potentiometer (variable dial thing) for the illumination brightness. Check its firmly plugged in. If it continues, replace it.
