Hi,
I just wondered, every one re furbs there rims like every month or so!
So i was wondering what they do to get there tires off, because it would be costly to take them to the garage every time!
Also, whats the best way to refurb a rim?
thanks.

Re: Removing Tires.
Do you not know any decent garages that will take them off for a fiver?
Re: Removing Tires.
Ill be honest i havent even asked.
Im just thinking of the future when i get hold of some alloys.
That, and its effort to go down there and back all the time.
But if its a fiver then i cant complain.
Say if i went back down with my own tires (to have stetched)
Would they kick up a fuss about them not fitting right, or do garages know?
Sorry about the noob questions, gotta start at the basics lol

Re: Removing Tires.
It depends garage to garage. Some won't go near them, so will give them a go and naff them up, some will even deny damage to your wheels that they have done (happened to me before)
Get in touch with some locals and find a garage that will do them without hassle, they are out there. If in doubt ALWAYS ask them before hand, tell them the tyre size and the wheel size and if they give you a shaded response, go elsewhere.

Re: Removing Tires.
I'm sure most garages round my area charge £2.50 per tyre! Which is fair expensive like if you ask me. Takes them 2 mins!
I'm lucky enough to know a lad that works in Kwik fit that lets me have regular freebies.
