welcome, you have the dark blue i take it ?. very low milage how much did you get it for and what insurance quotes have you had ?... mines done 102.000 more miles than yours lol.
lower it... they sit like double decker busses, and not with springs use coilovers...soi many people get spring only to replace them with coileys a year later...
oh and an alarm lol... i found this out the hard way !

Hey! Welcome!
I used Quinn back when i had my first run around (a saxo) last year.
They may be cheap, but for a reason. There service is absolutely terrible. So i wouldn't recommend them.
Try Direct line.
My insurance for the same car as yours is about £1900. Under my dads name. The good thing with direct line is that they are a well known company and you will get a no claims even as a named driver.
And definitely coil overs! Im deciding between that and alloys lol.

my bothr would agree with that some one hit him... they wouldnt admit it and then due to my brother moving house and not getting a letter they said he admited it.... thus he is taking them to court as it was going through Winns solictors for it anyway.... silly company lol
even tho i am insured with them as my mods can be decalred cheaply ... even if i wont get them back if i crash at least am legal with them
but i say get some wheels get it decked... i lasted 3 month on springs and got coilies... and get urself maybe a cd player or something...

wait for rims... just get it lowerd it looks soo much better on standard wheels if its lowered !
my insurance for my first year was 1,300 but i was over 21 that was with swift cover... as for service i cant comment i never had to speak to them,
now im with hastings direct and my insurance is a little under 700, have to speak to them today actually about my car getting broken into... its all fixed but i wanna see if its worth trying to recover my losses... but if i loose my no claims i wont bother !
both times with insurance ive been fully comp !
why would there be a limit with height for where you live ?, i live in northampton its all pretty flat here cept for the 9 speed bumps on every road

well i was determined Not to go with quinn but when the cheapest after 2,500 after I pass was 3,800 well I decided against it! since im not going to drive like a tosser ive learnt my lessons form when i used to race cars in fields soo...
My cars got some alloys on it and they look okay(VW ones) so im going to leave them now. how much you reckon i should lower my car by? remember i live around country lanes and so on... soo it cant be too LOW also how much would coil over cost? and an average cost for getting them fitted? my granddads an ex mechanic/rally driver so he might be able to fit them
And to do with alarms i believe it has one installed all ready but i'm not to sure.
and yeah its the manky dark blue

go about 60-70 if ya dont wanna be too low.... i hate taking my car to country lanes as my bottom arms clatter on the s**t roads.... and the bounce makes me sea sick

this is how low mine was...
i had to take it up an inch and a half cause it was ridiculous having to basically stop for speed bumps and that,
currently i think its dropped about 100 maybe 110
also will give you a hint to what it looks like lowered on standard vw rims... i pressume you have the same ones ?
its got pslots on it now but im taking em off and putting the standards back on !

thats a rahter good quote actually you will find them on ebay for roughly that price. i fall into the bought springs and now a year later im hunting madly for coilovers! haha. You could also get a gti front splitter stubby areial and foglights mate but lowering has to be the easyiest mod which totally changes the cars appearance in an instant
