Trip computer fitting?

Is it possible to fit a trip computer to 6n2 polo.. with Average Mpg, Range etc...?? :roll:

hi Jay

Yes its possible through the OBD port behind the ashtray. but havent seen it done before on a 6n2. remember these being fitted in smart cars though

That thing is pretty decent, basically a compressed user friendly vag com.

Heres a scanguage that i fitted to my polo after a little fabrication work:

The only problem i had with the guage is that it didnt seem to work on the petrol setting but works ok when set to diesel ???

Yes, it works pretty well, i have set mine up to read average MPG which is coming up at about 37-40mpg, speed (whilst my speedo was bust), brake horse power and revs.

I will be changing them when i get the car back from having the gearbox rebuilt to read other things.

Its one of the x-gauge features, you just programme it in which is really easy to do (instructions are provided)

Look on youtube for x-guage bhp or scangauge bhp

Im gonna see if i can get a set of clocks out of an early 9n2 polo, as this was when it was still a K-Line management system, and see if i can take the MFD out of the clocks and put it somewhere in my dash :)
