front splitter.

due to my recent accident i ni longer have one, god knows where it ended up lol but as my cars now back on the road im not sure what to do, do i just get a gti one bearing in mind i havent really got the money or do i just go for a cupra r splitter cause there like 25 quid from seat and from what i understand fit just pretty much straight on

So it doesn't replace the normal bottom of the bumper, just clips on underneath. Hmm. Wonder how its fitted :/

I think he used self tappers to attach it.

It looks a bit "stuck on" to me :| Maybe you could try and get it on without the standard one above it?

also i always seem to find pics of canyon red polos better than mine lmao

Cupra on the GTi splitter has been done many times by GTI-ers. Altough i was one of the first to do it :mrgreen:

Personally i think it gives the front end a beefier stance especially if your unable to go any lower (like me) due to wheel limitations and drivabilty

Best of all its a good comprimise between having the standard GTI one (too subtle i think) and having something crazy like the VR6 splitter(too bulky). See the pic below, the height of the splitter works well with the rest of the car and doesnt make the front end look out of proportion comapred to the sides and rear

Go with GTi I reckon.

The Vr6 one is wayy too bulky, and the Cupra one doesn't look right IMO. They don't suit the lines of the car. Plus you have to get another splitter (standard or GTi) before you an fit one, as the Cupra ones don't bolt on as a replacement, just as an addition.

right cheers for that, gti it is i rang up the stealers today and its 45 quid + vat but im going to try german and sweedish first.

you will be glad to hear ive decided to keep big red and im going to mod her properly... gonna save for some deep dish rims, but im an apprentice plumber so not earnming a great deal at the min :( :(

good man! Can't best GTi splitters.
